a collectible tabloid for fans featuring photographs and stories captured exclusively on tour. inspired by the “event programme” of the 1960s, which was given out at concerts to share details about the show and performers, we aim to bring back the idea of documenting life on the road not for immediate consumption... but rather to preserve the experience for the long term. it serves as a highly personalized and small-batch alternative to the tour merchandise we’ve grown accustomed to. these one-of-a-kid zines capture the candid story of life on the road; protecting an art that can get lost in the crowded content space.
brit o’brien has been touring with bands for ten years. she’s captured life in the back of the van, within gas stations, arenas, planes, and overseas. she has self-published two photography books, produced two early variations of ‘the tour programme’, was the grand prize winner of the Circadian Pictures Creative Fund 2020, and has been running a successful music photography focused print store for the last five years with gross sales eclipsing $70,000. outside of creative direction and photography, brit has worked as an artist and tour manager — learning the ebb and flow of business within the music industry. frustrated with the bland copycat version of modern social media and the massive waste associated with artist merchandise, brit decided it was time to slow down and reimagine how to savor and share the unique experience of life on the road.
